Six days on the edge of the world, on your own terms.
Ireland has always been shaped by women who didn't wait to be invited. Pirates, poets, pub owners, rebels, activists. This trip follows their footsteps along the wild Atlantic coast — through cliff-edge walks, stone-walled villages, and pubs where the music hasn't stopped since your grandmother's grandmother.
"Unlady-Like Ladies" is not a sightseeing tour. It's six days of slow discovery. Curated mornings with a private local guide — then afternoons that are entirely yours. Read by a fire. Walk into a village. Find a wool shop. Sit in a pub and talk to whoever's there. Or do nothing at all.
The group is small — no more than 10 women. Everyone gets their own room. No forced bonding, no icebreaker games. Just good company, extraordinary landscape, and the kind of quiet that most travel never allows.
Cliffs that drop hundreds of feet to white water below. Coastal roads where you might not pass another car for an hour. Ireland's west coast is raw, cinematic, and genuinely unlike anywhere else.
Not tour guides — locals. People who know the hidden beaches, the real trad music sessions, and which roadside cottage does the best brown bread. Knowledge that isn't in any guidebook.
Morning breakfasts and selected dinners at places chosen for character, not convenience. Farmhouse kitchens. Candlelit village restaurants. Pubs that have been feeding locals for a century.
Character-filled accommodations hand-picked for comfort and atmosphere — stone-walled guesthouses, converted farmhouses, rooms with turf fires and Atlantic views. Your own room, always.
Not tourist pubs with scheduled sessions. The real ones — where musicians play because they want to, the audience is three regulars and you, and someone's grandmother is on the fiddle.
Every single day. Wander a village, sketch the cliffs, take a bog walk, browse for wool, find a quiet corner of a pub. The itinerary ends at lunch. Everything after is yours.
Half-day structure: curated mornings, free afternoons. Specific locations confirmed closer to departure; generic names used to protect the experiences we've built.
Arrive at the regional airport. Transfer to your accommodation — a stone-walled guesthouse on the edge of a village where the Atlantic is audible from your window. Drop your bags, take a walk, and feel the scale of the landscape. That evening: a welcome dinner with the group, introductions, and the week laid out over local seafood and probably a glass of something from the island.
Welcome dinner includedMorning coastal walk with your private guide along some of Ireland's most dramatic scenery. Learn the geological drama under your feet, the myths attached to each headland, the practical lives of the fishing families who've worked these waters for generations. Afternoon is yours entirely — explore a nearby village, browse the wool shops, find a café with a view, or simply sit with it all.
Guided morning + free afternoonMorning visit to a craft workshop — the kind of studio that's been in a family for four generations. Meet the maker, learn the process, hear the story of the hands behind the work. Curated lunch at a farmhouse table. In the late afternoon: your Signature Moment — a private clifftop walk at golden hour with a local storyteller who has spent her whole life here. The cliffs, the light, the stories of the women who came before you.
✦ Signature Moment this afternoonMorning drive through Ireland's interior — stone walls, green valleys, landscapes that have barely changed in centuries. A guided walk through ancient ruins and bog land with a historian who can read the landscape like a text. Afternoon free to wander at your own pace. That evening: a traditional music session in a pub where it's been happening every Friday and Saturday for as long as anyone can remember.
Guided walk + trad music eveningMorning excursion to a coastal island or harbour village accessible only by small boat — the kind of place that empties of everyone but locals by noon. Fresh-caught seafood, salty air, and the particular quiet that exists at the very edge of a continent. Afternoon free for last wandering, any shopping, sitting still. Farewell dinner together that evening — a long table, good wine, and no one in a hurry to leave.
Island/coastal excursion + farewell dinnerA full Irish breakfast together. Then departure transfers to the airport, arranged around your flight time. Many travelers add a few days before or after in other parts of Ireland — we're happy to suggest what's worth the extra time.

Early bird pricing. Off-season trips. Destinations before they're public. All land here first — join the inside list.
Early bird pricing locks your spot at $300 off. Applies to Standard tier only — available through August 12, 2026.
Your own room is included in both prices above. Most tour operators charge $800–$1,500 extra for the privilege of sleeping alone. We think that's absurd. Private room is the default, not the upcharge.
Yes, always. Private rooms are the default, not an upcharge. We don't do roommate matching, and we don't charge a single supplement. Your space is your space — at every price point.
No more than 10 women, typically 30s to 60s, from all over. Most are traveling solo. They're independent, curious, and don't need to be entertained every second. Think: the people you'd actually want to have a long dinner with.
Moderately. The walks are scenic, not strenuous — coastal paths, not mountain summits. If you can walk comfortably for 60–90 minutes on uneven ground, you'll be fine. We always have gentler alternatives for anyone who needs them.
We'll confirm the exact airport closer to departure. The nearest international options for Ireland's west coast are Shannon (SNN) and Ireland West Airport Knock (NOC) — both well-served from North America and Europe. Detailed travel guidance is sent to everyone who books.
Full refund up to 90 days before departure. 50% refund 60–89 days out. No refund within 60 days, but your spot can be transferred to someone else. We strongly recommend travel insurance — it's required to book.
Absolutely. Many travelers arrive a day early or extend for a few days after. We're happy to suggest what's worth the extra time in Ireland — just mention it in your inquiry and we'll send recommendations.
